Birth Doula
Birth is such an incredible process! It's truly a miracle and a moment that you will never forget. There can also be so many unknowns and options for where and how you can bring your baby into the world. I'm here to help you build a birth plan that is perfect for your situation, to help you advocate for your baby and yourself, and to be your advocate when needed. I will support you and your partner through labor and birth, and provide any help needed with feeding baby and getting settled after the big event!

As your birth doula, I will meet with you several times before birth to get to know you and your family. We will discuss your health and birth history, birth preferences, feeding preferences and partner support. I will be available via text or phone for any questions or concerns during your pregnancy. At 36 weeks we will have our final meeting to discuss comfort measures and review your birth plan.
I provide 24/7 on-call support starting at 38 weeks. I will either join you at home to provide comfort measures or meet you at the hospital and be present for the duration of labor to provide support. Examples of comfort measures include breathing techniques, massage, affirmations, positioning, and advocacy for any and all of your birth preferences. After baby is delivered, I will help you get settled and provide breastfeeding or bottle-feeding support if requested. Afterwards, I will leave to allow you to soak in the joy of your newborn, but I will be available by phone or text for any questions that may come up. Once you are home and settled in, I am available for the first 6 weeks of your postpartum period. I like to bring a meal when I visit and take time to process your birth with you. I think this is a very important part of the postpartum process. I also gladly wash dishes, fold laundry, or run errands for you during this visit.
